Waste to Energy

At the Cantonment Park, Pallavaram in Tamil Nadu, the darkness of late evenings doesn’t hinder walkers or children. The park is ablaze with nearly a hundred light poles. What makes them stand out is that they are powered by purely food waste! The biogas plant that we installed here with support from a CSR initiative, treats nearly 500kg of waste from restaurants nearby. The biogas generated is then converted into electricity!
